Game Boy, also known as GB, is a handheld console manufactured by Nintendo and released in April 1989. It featured an 8-bit processor and a monochrome display, offering portability at an affordable price. Popular titles for the Game Boy included Tetris, Pokémon Red/Blue, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Over its lifespan, more than 1,000 titles were released. The Game Boy was a massive commercial success, solidifying Nintendo’s dominance in the handheld gaming market.
