GameCube (GC)
GameCube, also known as GC, is a home console manufactured by Nintendo and released in September 2001. It was the first Nintendo console to use optical discs instead of cartridges, offering enhanced storage capacity. Popular titles for the GameCube included Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Around 660 titles were released during its lifespan. Despite strong game support, the GameCube was a modest commercial success, overshadowed by the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
